Dandruff
Dandruff is a common skin condition that affects the scalp. Dandruff is the shedding of dead skin cells from the scalp, and varies from mild to severe. Mild cases of dandruff can affect anyone. Severe cases accompanied with itching, scaling or redness of skin may be different conditions such as Seborrhoeic Dermatitis.
Psoriasis
Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that affects the scalp and other parts of the body. Psoriasis is an autoimmune disorder and the turnover of skin cells, which normally takes about a month, is accelerated in affected areas. Psoriasis is caused by a combination of genetic predisposition and external triggers.
Seborrhoeic Dermatitis
Seborrhoeic dermatitis is an inflammatory skin condition which commonly affects the scalp, eyebrows, sides of the nose, external ear canal and behind the ears. Seborrhoeic dermatitis is characterized by flaky white to yellow scales on the skin.
